Description

The company specializes in the sourcing, marketing, and logistics of agricultural raw materials (grains, oilseeds, corn, etc.), with the aim of strengthening the Group’s global procurement capabilities. They are committed to sustainable growth and to delivering added value through efficient and optimized supply chain solutions. The company is currently hiring an Operations Executive based in Singapore.

Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Executive involves end-to-end coordination and documentation for international trade activities, including managing shipping documents with suppliers and shipping lines to ensure timely and accurate processing of bills of lading, packing lists, and other required paperwork. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and issuing sales and purchase contracts, commercial invoices, and ensuring compliance with agreed terms. Close coordination with suppliers, buyers, and freight forwarders is essential to monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely delivery. The role also includes handling all aspects of import and export Letter of Credit (LC) documentation, from preparation and submission to negotiation with banks, ensuring alignment with LC terms and minimizing discrepancies. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to track all shipments, maintain accurate records, and provide regular status reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Maritime Studies or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in cargo operations. Prior experience in bulk operations, logistics, or trading within a commodities company is highly preferred. The candidate should have solid knowledge of shipping terms, documentation, and be proficient in the preparation and negotiation of Letters of Credit (L / C). Strong adaptability and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment—while managing multiple priorities—are essential for success in this role.
