We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join the Planning Directorate in BMRC. The role will provide a unique perspective of the strategic priorities of the organisation as well as the broader public service. STAR community, as well as the public sector.At the Resource Planning and Policy Division, we are looking for a strategic and analytical professional to support resource planning and policy development within BMRC. This role will allow the bridging of operational planning with strategic policy, and ensure optimal allocation of talent, funding, and infrastructure to maximize innovation and research productivity.
You are proactive and self-motivated, results-oriented, able to work independently and in a team setting, and possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage resource allocation models (and forecasting tools) for BMRC entitiesCollaborate with BMRC entities and cross-functional teams to assess current and future budgetary needs, while ensuring alignment of resource plans with strategic initiativesAnalyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in budgetary utilization to inform decision-makingSupport the creation, revision and drive improvements of organizational resource policies and processesPrepare reports, briefings, and policy recommendations for senior leadershipSet, monitor and report performance and tracking indicators for BMRC and its research entitiesJOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Public Policy, Business, Economics, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or any related disciplines. Postgraduate qualifications would be an advantage.Working experience in either research, strategic / corporate planning or related administration / operational analysis roles.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in planning tools and data visualization e.g. Excel, Power BI, or similar would be an advantageGood organisation acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage leadership, internal and external stakeholders as well as researchersDynamic and self-motivated individual who is a big-picture thinker and values integrity, teamwork and excellenceMeticulous, well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to multi-taskHigh learning ability, agility and adaptabilityPrevious experience in managing small teams would be a plus
