Job descriptionMinimum 5 years of experience in drybulk shipping operations. Proficient in handling 5-7 vessels independently. Strong knowledge of drybulk trades, charter parties, and industry documentation. IMOS experience is essential; SHIPFIX or SEDNA experience is a plus. Excellent command of written and spoken English. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently. Familiarity with stowage planning, bunker procurement, and cargo requirements. Confident, solution-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee operational matters for Owned, Managed, and Voyage or Time-Chartered vessels.
- Communicate daily with Masters, Agents, Charterers, Owners, and Brokers to ensure smooth operations.
- Accurately manage voyage and post-fixture operations using IMOS and SHIPFIX (or similar systems).
- Execute all voyage documentation and instructions : BLs, LOIs, NORs, SOFs, stowage, bunkering, port expenses.
- Handle all freight, hire, laytime (Demurrage / Despatch), and other settlement matters with Accounting.
- Monitor vessel performance and handle performance claims.
- Collaborate on legal / contractual matters with internal Insurance, P&I Clubs, and external legal teams.
- Demonstrate commercial awareness and support strategic decision-making.
