Roles & Responsibilities

About the Role :

Our client, a leading organization in the defense sector, is seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead mission-critical infrastructure projects. This role involves managing the planning, execution, and delivery of secure and resilient infrastructure systems, including command and control centers, secure networks, data centers, and field-deployable systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defense or government projects, with a deep understanding of compliance, security protocols, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead infrastructure projects across secure environments, ensuring alignment with defense standards and operational requirements.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, cybersecurity, logistics, and external contractors.
  • Ensure infrastructure solutions meet military-grade specifications for reliability, redundancy, and security.
  • Oversee procurement and integration of specialized hardware and software systems.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders and government oversight bodies.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and readiness assessments.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • 7+ years of experience managing infrastructure projects in defense, aerospace, or government sectors.
  • Strong understanding of secure communications, hardened facilities, and classified environments.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and familiarity with Agile or hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience with defense acquisition processes and contract management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
