Role Summary :

We are looking for a dedicated Data Protection Officer to ensure adherence to global data laws across China, Europe, and North America. You will design compliance plans, work with legal teams, manage compliance, and lead data protection training. Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is essential, along with a strong understanding of international data regulations.

What will your role be :

  • Research and pay close attention to global data-related data laws, regulations and developmental trends (China, Europe, North America) and establish technology landing plans that complies with local laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Product and IT teams to assess and monitor data security and compliance measures based on project requirements and regional regulations.
  • Responsible for the acceptance of related projects and ensure that they are implemented according to the plan.
  • Regularly organize and carry out data protection-related training to enhance employees' security awareness.
  • Responsible for internal and external audits, and implementation of security and compliance certifications.
  • Review finalized contracts to evaluate potential privacy and data protection risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as assigned in accordance with business needs.

What an ideal candidate means to us :

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, with 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in the field of information security, network security, information security or other related majors.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese (to liaise with English and Chinese speaking associates).
  • Understand and familiar with local and foreign data compliance laws and regulations, such as EU GDPR, US COPPA, China Cybersecurity Law, Personal Data Protection Act, etc.
  • Good communication, coordination and promotion skills, excellent document writing skills.
