Job Title- IT Analyst

Contract Duration- 4 Years

Work Location- Chai Chee Road

Working Hours : 8 : 30 AM - 6 : 00 PM

Job Responsibilities

  • The Candidate will be responsible to ensure all the applications systems remain in good working order.
  • The Candidate is expected to take on support of new application systems when they become operational.
  • The Candidate will respond to production emergencies in a timely manner based on Client's service Level. This includes bringing up the server (in a crash) or system processes, fixing problems or finding workarounds.
  • The Candidate is expected to diligently perform routine checks and to escalate to the Project Manager should any anomaly be detected. The Candidate should show the initiative to alert and troubleshoot together with other system engineers, database administrator (DBA) and outsourced vendors.
  • The Candidate is expected to follow through every issue / problem to closure, and complete the necessary documentation as required by Client.
  • The Candidate will assist users and answer queries regarding the supported operational systems.
  • The Candidate is expected to interface with the helpdesk agents, end-users, integrated applications support teams and external vendors during application support and problem resolution.
  • The Candidate is expected to be on standby support on off-office-hours / weekends / public holidays when needed such as during scheduled maintenance, system crash or system upgrade exercise.
  • Besides application support, the Candidate is also expected to document changes / enhancements that arise from service requests. The Candidate will follow the Client's technical standards and update the necessary documentation.
  • The candidate shall report to the Project Manager in tracking and managing the project timelines and resources that he / she has been assigned to undertake.

Job Requirements

  • The Candidate shall possess at least a Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
  • The Candidate shall have at least FIVE (5) years of working experience in the IT or Infocomm industry, with exposure to end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC). Prior experience with implementations in Singapore is preferred.
  • The Candidate shall have at least THREE (3) years of experience and be proficient in designing, developing and maintaining web applications using Microsoft .NET (.NET framework / .Net Core) and front-end technologies (i.e. ASP.NET, C#, HTML / DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX).
  • The Candidate is preferably to have at least THREE (3) years of JAVA development experience using JDK 1.7 and above.
  • The Candidate shall have at least THREE (3) years of development experience on Windows / Linux / Apache / Php / Perl (LAMP).
  • The Candidate shall have at least TWO (2) years of development experience in Python scripting.
  • The candidate shall have at least THREE (3) years of working experience with one or more of the following relational databases and be proficient in using SQL.
  • MySQL
  • MS-SQL
  • PostgreSQL
  • MariaDB
  • Amazon Aurora
  • The candidate shall have at least THREE (3) years of working experience in XSL and XML programming.
  • The Candidate shall have at least ONE (1) year of experience and be proficient in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), including web services integration using SOAP and / or REST based web services.
  • The Candidate shall have at least ONE (1) year of experience in one or more AWS services :
  • Lambda
  • Secrets Manager
  • CloudFormation
  • The Candidate is preferably to have experience in working in Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) environment.

  • The Candidate shall have at least FIVE (5) years of experience and be proficient in :
  • Requirements and impact analysis, including evaluating and recommending feasible technical implementations etc;
  • IT operational support, including incident management, defect tracking, source code version control, release management, deployment to Production etc; and
  • Project management support, including maintaining issue log and change control records, documenting operational procedures / guides, coordinating with users etc.
  • It is an added advantage that the Candidate has working experience in government agency environment with exposure to IM8, WOGAA, Digital Standards, and / or other Singapore government security policies compliance requirements.
  • The Candidate is preferred to have experience working in areas digital preservation and archival domain.
  • The Candidate is preferred to have experience working with excel objects, building interfaces to other applications in the .Net platform and possess the ability to analyze / extract data for batch processing / ingestion.
  • The Candidate is preferred to have experience mplementing good security practices in application development & support.
