About your team
The South East Asia Institutional Sales team is responsible for asset gathering and retention related to the provision of investment management solutions and support for institutional clients across the South East Asia region. Key client segments include central banks, sovereign wealth funds, insurers, pensions, corporates and endowments.
About your role
This role will be working alongside the Head of Institutional Sales, South East Asia to 1) manage existing client relationships to retain their existing assets managed by Fidelity and identify cross-selling oppotrtunities and 2) engage and develop relationships with prospective institutional clients to identify sales opportunities to grow the asset base.
You will have assigned client coverage responsibilities; exact market and client segment coverage will be determined based on your experience and areas of strength.
About you
You will be responsible for the following :
Business Development and Relationship Management :
- Day-to-day management of existing client relationships in South East Asia in partnership with the Regional Institutional Client Service team.
- Provide overall sales coverage for new business opportunities and existing client mandates in South East Asia.
- Answer client queries and follow up in a detailed, accurate and timely fashion.
- Build a comprehensive knowledge of Fidelity’s key investment capabilities relevant to the region as well as a deep working knowledge of products offered by various Fidelity-related entities, including Fidelity Investments, Fidelity Institutional Asset Management and Geode Capital.
- Closely work with global investment functions to fully represent Fidelity’s investment capabilities across all asset classes, and drive business growth by collaborating with investment and product teams to deliver meaningful client solutions.
- Work closely with the RFP team to complete RFP / DDQ questionnaires.
- Input into, help develop and implement Fidelity’s business plan for institutional investors in South East Asia
- Identify current client and market trends / opportunities and help define how Fidelity can best take advantage of them.
- Liaise with oversight teams to ensure all sales documents and activities are in full compliance with internal policies and local regulations.
- Maintain and update sales databases (e.g. Salesforce) and other relevant sources to produce updated and accuracy pipeline and related sales reports
- Work in conjunction with the Regional and SEA marketing teams to market key strategies and assist and organise events and seminars for institutional clients from the region.
Global Connectivity :
Understand the complexities of Fidelity’s global structure and maintain the principles and philosophy of Fidelity’s corporate culture. Possess the acumen to identify, acknowledge and effectively communicate with all appropriate stakeholders within Fidelity.Work with regional institutional business and other global teams on global initiatives, projects engagement, marketing, products, business development, consideration and implementation of new technology / structures / procedures etc.Experience and Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master’s degree with a strong commercial business backgroundMinimum 7 years of experience in a distribution role (institutional sales or client service) in the asset management or fund distribution industry preferredWell-developed presentation communication skills in both written and spoken EnglishAbility to communicate effectively at all levels, with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skillsStrong team playerWillingness to take ownership and drive for resultsSelf-driven, able to work independently under pressure and meet tight delivery deadlinesFlexible and positive attitude to work, strong team ethicTravelling requiredFeel rewarded
