In-House Legal & Compliance Recruiter - Asia & Middle East

Our client is a top-tier global financial group recognized for its expertise in wealth and trust management. We’re seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel to join their Singapore office and provide expert guidance to an elite clientele across the Asia-Pacific region.

Responsibilities

Oversee a broad range of trust-related legal matters, including drafting and negotiating key documents such as trust deeds and wills, etc.
Deliver insightful advice on complex trust structures governed by laws from Singapore, Jersey, Hong Kong, BVI, and Cayman Islands.
Navigate legal risks tied to trust administration, succession strategies, and international regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with internal teams—compliance, business units, and relationship managers—and maintain strong connections with external regulators and advisors.
Assist with corporate governance and commercial legal issues to support the Singapore entity’s operations.
Keep abreast of legal and regulatory changes in relevant jurisdictions, ensuring our trust services remain compliant and cutting-edge.

Qualifications

4PQE+ commonwealth qualified lawyer with focused experience in trusts, fiduciary law, or private client practice. Open to law firm candidates.

A proven track record working with high-net-worth individuals, ideally within trust companies, family offices, or international law firms.

Comprehensive knowledge of trust laws and tax considerations across multiple jurisdictions, including Singapore, Jersey, Hong Kong, BVI, and the Cayman Islands.

Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin , enabling effective engagement with diverse clients and stakeholders.

Eligibility to work in Singapore (valid work visa or permanent residency) and willingness to travel occasionally within the region.
