About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Development Engineer / Development

Engineer to join our R&D team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development in mechanical and automation solutions. You will play a key role in supporting our research projects, collaborating closely with engineers and researchers to bring ideas from concept to execution and deployment?through design and prototyping, experimental testing, and system integration. This position is ideal for individuals who are agile, eager to learn, and thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Design mechanical components for automation systems using 3D CAD tools (such as NX / SolidWorks)
  • Support the deployment and integration of systems, including setting up, configuring, and ensuring smooth operation of the system
  • Support manufacturing process development by preparing specimens, setting up equipment, and conducting experiments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of experimental setups, results, and modifications
  • Compile, tabulate and support in analyzing experimental data using Excel or similar tools
  • Support the continuous improvement of engineering processes and lab practices
  • Assisting in stakeholder communication, documenting progress, and supporting collaborative decision-making across teams

Job Requirements

Required Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks,) for mechanical design and drafting
  • Basic understanding of automation systems and mechanical design principles
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and measurement techniques
  • Comfortable using tools like Excel or equivalent for data processing, tabulation and graph creation
  • Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required) :

  • Experience with Python programming or scripting for automation
  • Exposure to microcontrollers or embedded systems (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi)
  • Familiarity with programming industrial or collaborative robots
  • Soft skills

  • Problem-solving mindset - Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to challenges
  • Collaboration - Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and open to feedback

  • Qualifications

  • A diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related engineering field
  • Internship, project, or personal experience in design or automation will be advantageous
