Reporting to the Lead, CHI Evaluation Office, the Healthcare Innovation Impact Analyst will play a crucial role in assessing and quantifying the impact of health innovations, including their environmental sustainability and long-term viability. Their primary focus would be on developing and applying specialised research methods to evaluate innovative healthcare interventions, including their carbon footprint and resource efficiency. The role would involve designing data collection methods tailored to capture the unique aspects of health innovations, conducting statistical analyses to measure clinical, operational, and environmental outcomes, and modelling potential scalability of successful initiatives with consideration for their ecological impact. The analyst would work at the intersection of healthcare, innovation, economics, and data science, utilising their expertise to translate complex health innovation data into compelling evidence of impact, while ensuring proposed solutions align with sustainable healthcare practices. They would collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure evaluation strategies align with the latest trends in health innovation and environmental stewardship, contributing significantly to the office's goal of enhancing the adoption and scaling of impactful, environmentally responsible healthcare solutions.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and Plan Evaluation :
- Develop comprehensive research evaluation methods tailored to specific healthcare innovation projects, incorporating both quantitative metrics and environmental impact indicators such as resource utilisation, waste reduction, and energy efficiency. Skills in qualitative methods would be an added advantage.
- Create logic models and theories of change to map out the expected impacts and outcomes of health innovations, including their contribution to sustainable healthcare practices and long-term environmental stewardship
- Collaborate with clinical project teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with health and innovation goals and sustainability targets, as well as metrics for carbon emissions, resource conservation, and sustainable procurement practices
Data Collection and Analysis :
Implement data collection systems and processes to gather relevant quantitative data on program performance and outcomesUtilise statistical techniques and tools to analyse large healthcare datasetsConduct comparative analyses to benchmark innovation outcomes against existing practices or standardsUse predictive modelling to forecast potential impacts of scaling successful innovationsEmploy data visualisation tools to create clear, insightful representations of complex healthcare dataKnowledge Dissemination :
Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports that clearly communicate the impacts and outcomes of healthcare innovationsDevelop executive summaries and presentations for senior management and stakeholdersContribute to the writing of academic papers for publication in peer-reviewed healthcare and innovation journalsPrepare and deliver presentations at conferences and workshops to share insights and methodologiesContribute to the office's knowledge base by documenting best practices in healthcare innovation evaluationJOB REQUIREMENTS
