Roles & Responsibilities
This position is a dual role in (1) Single Family Office in Singapore responsible for investment diligence, execution and post-investment management activities and (2) Corporate development role in the affiliated business conglomerate in Indonesia, mostly focused on Technology & Communications.
Main activities at SFO
Pipeline & Due diligence – typically for funds
- Reviewing new investment opportunities offered by banks, partners, other contacts and preparing initial brief / recommendation
- Take lead in preparation of Investment Memos – including summary of investments, due diligence findings, key risks, target returns, references and other considerations
- Support due diligence activities, including coordinating with external 3rd party service providers such as legal, financial & technical advisors
Execution
Work with inhouse legal for execution of investments (typically fund investments), including finalizing investment documents and terms, IC final approvals documentation, closing activitiesPortfolio monitoring and management
Monitor individual investments across asset classes against SFO mandate & objectivesTake lead in active management of selected investees, including direct interactions with senior management to implement changes in strategy, finance, people and operationsPreparing regular updates on investment performances to IC and shareholders, including updated performance reports, valuation, corporate actions, fundraising plansInvestment Committee support
Support IC discussions and decision making, including documentation of IC ApprovalsSupport SFO and IC to manage portfolio overall objective, risk management and portfolio allocation reviewSupport discussions and re-alignment of strategic asset allocations ie recommend changes to portfolio based on market conditionsMain activities at Corporate Development :
Corporate Strategy Development
Support & update corporate strategy, as market conditions & opportunities developMaintain broad understanding of developments in Tech and Communications sector in IndonesiaM&A and corporate actions
Active role in identifying and sourcing relevant opportunities to achieve corporate visionLead & support execution of M&A and corporate actions – from structuring, negotiations and execution of selected M&A opportunitiesAbility to lead and support direct negotiations with counterpartiesFamiliar with transaction steps & legal documentsPortfolio monitoring and active management
Take lead in active management of selected portfolio companies, including direct interactions with senior management to implement changes in strategy, finance, people and operationsPreferably with specific experience or competency in 1 or more functions (i.e., financing, operations, people etc)Requirements :
Tertiary education qualificationPreferred 8-10 years of working experience, with time spent in management consulting and investment management (PE fund, or Advisory)Experience in active management of portfolio companies, tracking performances and direct interactions with senior management to ensure targets are metDisplay competency in 1 or more functional areas (operations, finance, legal, people etc)Experience in M&A transactions, and have either lead or played a major role in a transaction starting from ideation & negotiations to execution & closingTell employers what skills you have
