The company develops AI-powered wearable medical devices that enable proactive, remote monitoring of respiratory conditions, empowering both clinicians and patients across clinical and home environments.
Role Overview :
We’re looking for a mission-driven Operations Director to lead and scale our end-to-end operations – from hospital-facing logistics to manufacturing and regulatory workflows.
Hospital operations management experience is a non-negotiable requirement – you will be expected to bring deep knowledge of how hospitals function operationally, from procurement and compliance to care coordination and equipment servicing.
This is a high-ownership role that combines strategic execution, regulatory rigor, and startup speed.
Key Responsibilities :
Operational Strategy & Execution
- Build and scale operational processes across manufacturing, fulfillment, and technical servicing
- Establish and continuously improve SOPs for internal teams and hospital deployment partners
- Drive excellence across customer delivery, maintenance, and clinical support systems
Hospital-Centric Operations
Lead operational workflows specific to hospital partnerships, including device onboarding, clinical training, and maintenanceLiaise with hospital administrators, biomedical teams, and clinicians to ensure device performance and service-level expectationsBuild internal processes that reflect hospital standards around infection control, reporting, and regulatory complianceRegulatory, Compliance & Quality
Ensure ISO 13485 compliance and readiness for audits and inspections (HSA, CE, FDA)Collaborate with QA / RA team to navigate regulatory pathways and maintain audit-ready documentationLead safety, traceability, and recall processes with hospital partners when necessaryTeam & Vendor Management
Oversee internal operations staff and external manufacturing, logistics, and servicing vendorsConduct workforce planning, performance management, and process improvement initiativesBudgeting & Cost Efficiency
Work with Finance to develop operations budgets and optimize cost per deploymentCreate dashboards and KPIs to measure operational efficiency and support data-driven decisionsQualifications & Experience :
Minimum 10 years’ experience in operations, including 5+ years in MedTech or healthcare technologyHospital operations management experience is essential – ideally with exposure to biomedical workflows, clinical support, and healthcare logisticsStrong understanding of regulated environments : ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, HSA guidelinesProven ability to scale operations from pilot to regional or global deploymentStrong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving capabilitiesStartup or scale-up experience preferredInterested?
