Job Title : Senior Accounts Executive – External Accounting Services

Location : Singapore

About the Opportunity

My client is a well-established Japanese management consulting firm with a strong international presence. They’ve had operations in Singapore since 2011, with a formal entity incorporated in 2016. The firm specializes in strategic advisory services such as M&A, business expansion, and organizational transformation. The Singapore office operates with a lean team, offering high-touch, localized consulting backed by global expertise.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare full sets of accounts for multiple clients, including month-end and year-end closings.
  • Generate accurate financial statements in compliance with local regulations and client-specific needs.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports while maintaining high service standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, auditors, and tax agents to support audits and tax filings.
  • Assist with financial due diligence activities with a proactive and solutions-driven approach.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy across all financial records.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for client portfolios.
  • Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulatory updates.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in client-facing or external accounting.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
  • Prior experience in audit is advantageous.
  • Exposure to financial due diligence work or a keen interest in developing skills in this area is preferred.
  • Able to work independently, stay organized, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Basic knowledge and hands-on experience in tax computation is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Interest in learning Japanese language or communicating in a Japanese business environment is a bonus.
