Leveraging strong technical expertise and financial support from its parent company, it focuses on major marine and infrastructure projects locally, including offshore works, dredging, and land reclamation initiatives.
Job Description
- Develop and execute technical strategies in alignment with both company standards and client expectations.
- Lead and allocate resources within the technical team to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.
- Monitor project timelines and technical performance, resolving issues and reallocating resources as needed to stay on schedule.
- Provide technical input throughout the bidding and project execution stages, including planning of designs, methods, and construction approaches.
- Ensure all engineering proposals and construction plans are practical, compliant, and safe.
- Research and incorporate innovative technologies to enhance the technical competitiveness of the project.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external vendors to align technical deliverables with project objectives.
- Provide hands-on support to address and resolve technical challenges during project execution.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure proper allocation of technical tasks and adequate resource availability.
- Contribute to detailed project planning to ensure feasibility within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Supervise daily technical operations and swiftly resolve roadblocks to maintain momentum.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to technical implementation through proactive planning.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices, regulatory standards, and client requirements in all technical work.
- Establish and enforce a quality assurance framework to maintain high standards during project execution.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical processes and reports to ensure trace-ability and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage the use of advanced technologies to improve project outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external specialists to foster innovation and elevate the company's technical capabilities.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
- 3 years+ of experience in technical management roles, particularly within engineering project environments.
- Familiarity with end-to-end project management phases including design, construction, inspection, and handover.
- Prior experience in offshore works (dredging, reclamation), is advantageous.
- Strong foundational knowledge in engineering principles and Singapore project technical standards.
- Proficiency in modern engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, and MS Project.
- Knowledge of design coordination, construction sequencing, materials, and compliance requirements.
