This position supports the Head of Credit Department Asia Pacific Division (CDAPD), reporting to the Head of Credit Planning in CDAPDThe team is responsible for developing, recommending, communicating and implementing credit risk management policies, strategies and operational guidelines for the organization and its various financial productsThis role is primarily responsible for engagement in strategic planning on credit risk management framework, business management and coordination, and reporting on credit risk related affairs to senior management, head office, and regulators in a timely manner
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Management :
- Produce reports on summary of credit portfolio and other metrics relevant to credit risk management
- Routinely report credit related documentation within the department to senior management.
- Prepare and coordinate materials for management committees, regulatory examinations and external / internal audits
- Undertake other related tasks and projects as required and assigned by management
Special Credits :
Track and report criticized and classified assets, in compliance with Japanese accounting principles, such as self-assessment, write-offs, general and specific reservesManages research and analysis of client's financial performance, continuous monitoring of events and strength of credit portfolioClosely monitor relevant market indices as well as industry developmentsHead Office / Risk Liaison :
Enhance the credit application processes, working with stakeholders in Asia Pacific / India Division and Head OfficeMaintains communication with Credit Officers, Front Office and Head Office to ensure credit standards / policies are fully understoodParticipate in the development of policies, control procedures and processes designed to ensure risk identification, mitigation and monitoringJob Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required; Finance or accounting knowledge requiredStrong working experience in Finance or Banking is essential.Credit risk management related experience or training program is helpful.Experience in / with regulators or analytical tasks is preferable
Business fluency in English is required. Japanese is a plus but not essentialPC skills including Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and Word skills are requiredExcellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) skillsAbility to work effectively with others and team orientedJ-18808-Ljbffr
