Main Objectives :
- Partnering closely with the Leadership Team and other key process owners, the position will manage, support and provide direction and leadership to Team Leaders in the areas of engineering services and business process improvements. Establish metrics in close collaboration with the appropriate stakeholders for the overall pursuit of organizational long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Managing Director Asia Pacific, you will assist in the following areas :
Collaborate with the Leadership Team and key process owners, lead and implement strategic, business improvement processes, policies and proceduresDevelop and conduct technical / engineering training in relation to new and existing businesses.
Rigorously evaluate region-wide processes and recommend initiatives to the Leadership Team that will yield greater productivity and efficiencyAct as advisor on best practices by performing research and planning related to future initiatives and partnershipsAct as a mentor and coach to business stakeholders to strive for Cost Effectiveness and Operational Excellence in Asia PacificOther responsibilities as neededRequirements :
Strong engineering orientation in the areas of design and developmentKnowledge of quality improvement principles and plansDemonstrated strengths in project management processes and demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects with multiple complex tasksGood understanding and appreciation of the dynamics of organizational changeExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to communicate and work at all levels of the organizationKnowledgeable in at least one change methodology (Six Sigma, TQM, etc)Strong Business AcumenProven track records on Business Process Improvement SavingsBachelor’s degree in engineering field requiredMasters in relevant field preferredLean / Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent will be advantageous7-10 years of work experience in engineering fields within manufacturing environment, preferably with focus on design and development; Lean / Six Sigma consulting experiences a plusAt least 3-5 years in managerial roles preferably in manufacturing industryAbility to travel regionally and to other business locations as needed
