  • Job Description
  • We are seeking a highly motivated professional Research Scientist. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and external partners to develop cutting-edge technologies and commercialize innovative solutions.
  • Technology & Innovation
  • Monitor technological advancements in
  • Sustainable Building & HVAC solutions to drive business growth.
  • Business Collaboration
  • Work with internal teams to identify business needs, conduct customer interviews, define problem statements, and develop innovation proposals.
  • Research Partnerships
  • Establish collaborations with Singapore’s ecosystem (e.g., universities, institutions) to explore research and innovation opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Align with Strategic Research Portfolio Owners, provide quarterly project updates, and pitch ideas using the Bosch Innovation Framework.
  • AI & AIoT Research
  • Lead advanced research in AI and AIoT for HVAC and building sustainability to tackle academic and industry challenges.
  • Patent & Commercialization
  • Consistently generate invention reports and patents while working with business units to commercialize innovations.
  • Qualifications
  • At least an M.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Chemical, Electrical, process engineering, Mechanical, Civil engineering or a related field, preferably in HVAC, AIoT, or Building Sustainability.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an R&D engineer or academic staff in thermal system modeling, simulations, relevant software, data analytics, digitalization, machine learning, and cycle / system control.
  • Strong knowledge of benchmarking and assessing thermal systems, with an in-depth understanding of new cycles and concepts, along with re-engineering capabilities.
  • Well-versed in the latest developments in HVAC, heat pumps, energy, and sustainability, with the ability to translate research into functional prototypes and demonstrate them to customers.
  • Proven experience in delivering at least two full project life cycles, from planning to closure, in an R&D environment.
  • Entrepreneurial / start-up experience and product industrialization knowledge are highly valued.
  • Passion for innovation, entrepreneurial mindset, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, adaptable to dynamic environments, and a strong work ethic.
