Job description

Responsibilities

  • Identity & monitor APAC market developments, trends and regulatory changes, on which to engage clients
  • Liaise with various internal & external stakeholders, clients and government agencies in APAC
  • Collaborate with colleagues across SMBC Group in APAC and in Japan, to understand and address client requirements for information
  • Help introduce and match clients to other clients of SMBC, and government agencies in the APAC region, where there are common interests and potential to collaborate
  • Assist in administrative functions – periodic reporting and internal team record-keeping tasks

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree and / or Masters degree
  • Proficiency in Japanese language is desirable as the team supports Japanese clients in the region and make presentation in Japanese.
  • Work experience / ability should be related to research and preparation of discussion papers
  • Good written and communication skills
  • 5-8 years of relevant working experience
  • Ability to work independently on jobs assigned
  • Positive personality with strong work ethic
  • Enthusiasm & desire to work in a research and advisory role
  • Independent, self-motivated & strong team player with ability to work in multicultural team
