Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager / Senior Assistant Manager will be involved in managing clinical implementation projects and operations at the Centre for Precision Health (CPH). Responsibilities include overseeing research project management, working with the Centre Director and research coordinators, ensuring effective research operations, and collaborating with programme leads on strategy and grant management. The primary focus will be on establishing a local biorepository and implementing clinical pre-emptive pharmacogenomics testing within NUHS.

CPH is a research hub for precision health at NUHS, dedicated to advancing individualized healthcare based on patient-specific biological data. It plays a strategic role in developing precision medicine initiatives within NUHS and liaising with national and industry partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Coordinate with Principal Investigators (PIs) on research implementation strategies.
  • Support administrative tasks including budget planning, legal agreements, protocol and ethics reviews.
  • Assist with grant processing, claims, report submissions, and progress reports.
  • Organize project meetings and provide secretariat support.
  • Manage a pilot bio-banking initiative and supervise research coordinators.
  • Support investigators in strategy development, funding acquisition, and grants management.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and provide policy expertise across institutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clinical and academic stakeholders.
  • Handle manpower recruitment, deployment, and staff engagement.
  • Perform additional related duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Genomics, Public Health, or related fields.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in project management and healthcare projects.
  • Experience in Human Biomedical Research and clinical implementation is advantageous.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
