Details of the Division and Team : To lead one of the Centers of Competency for key non-financial risks for Private Banking Emerging Markets, focusing on Financial Crime (AML, KYC, Fraud prevention) , Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption , and Tax Integrity . This role ensures governance, advisory, and oversight across these risk domains, ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations while supporting the growth of the Private Banking business.

The candidate will lead the function alongside the line manager for EM business with Front Office presence in Singapore, Hong Kong, UAE, KSA, and India. Collaboration with internal and external partners and transformation teams is essential for effective risk management and process improvements.

Key responsibilities :

  • Risk Framework & Governance : Develop regional frameworks, procedures, and controls; ensure regulatory alignment; manage risk areas and lead governance forums.
  • Subject Matter Expertise & Advisory : Provide guidance on AML / CFT, sanctions, fraud prevention, and tax transparency; support strategy and tool enhancements.
  • Monitoring & Oversight : Develop and monitor KRIs and KCIs; oversee system effectiveness.
  • Training & Culture : Lead training programs; promote ethical conduct and client-centric risk management.
  • Regulatory & Audit Engagement : Coordinate with regulators, tax authorities, and auditors.

Skills and experience :

  • Minimum 10 years in financial crime compliance, conduct risk, or operational risk in Private Banking.
  • Knowledge of MAS, HKMA, FATF, FATCA, and related regulations.
  • Understanding of private banking client profiles and risk typologies.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
  • Experience with risk management tools and systems.
  • Leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Role requires on-site work at One Raffles Quay, with possible vaccination requirements.
