Overview
The management trainee program will provide you on-the-job training to gain exposure and experience required to oversee the operations in a supermarket store. As a management trainee, you will learn management skills that are aligned with the Company's philosophies.
In this position, you will be attached to one of the supermarket branches whereby you will be mentored by the branch manager to oversee and manage the supermarket's operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the supermarket's operations as a whole
- Analyse inventory within the store by forecasting sales figures and inventory requirements to determine the optimal stock levels that should be ordered in the store
- Review store's profit and loss by reviewing the supermarket store's sales levels, cost of inventory, operational expenses and inventory loss to ensure that the store is meeting the profit targets set by the Management
- Manage and guide employees within the store, monitoring and improve their job performances
- Interact and co-operate with the backend functions in headquarters such as purchasing, marketing, finance and human resource departments
- Career progression of the Management Trainees shall depend on the individual's performance, interests, and the Company's requirements
Requirements
Degree, Diploma or ITE qualification holders in any discipline. Fresh graduates are welcome to applyCandidate with prior experience in FMCG / Trading industry will have an added advantageExcellent command in speaking and writing in English (fluent in speaking and writing in Chinese is an added advantage in order to liaise / handle Chinese speaking associates / documentation)Excellent negotiation skillsIndependent, self-motivated, resourceful and reliableOpen-minded and willing to learnCustomer oriented and possess a pleasant dispositionAble to work 6 days a week (including weekends and public holidays)Locations available island-wide
