1. Why Deliveroo?

At Deliveroo, we’re on a mission to transform the way people eat—and shop. Our Grocery and Retail vertical is one of the most exciting areas of growth, and we're looking for ambitious individuals to help shape its future.

Joining Deliveroo means joining a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-impact environment where innovation, ownership, and collaboration drive everything we do. As part of our On-Demand Convenience (ODC) team, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our partner ecosystem, with some of the most recognisable grocery and retail brands, as well as up-and-coming local favourites.

We offer :

A Platform for Impact : Your work will directly shape the growth of our Grocery & Retail offering, the fastest growing vertical within Deliveroo, to bring essential products to customers in minutes.

Innovation at Scale : Be part of a tech-driven company that’s redefining convenience commerce through cutting-edge products that enhance the customer experience.

Collaborative Culture : Work with talented, driven professionals across sales, operations, marketing, and product teams—all committed to making Deliveroo the go-to platform for every need.

Meaningful Growth : With guidance from your manager and collaboration with peers, you'll take on real responsibility early and develop quickly through a steep learning curve and exposure to diverse challenges.

If you're passionate about building partnerships, closing high-impact deals, and making a real difference in how people shop, Deliveroo is the place for you.

2. What you’ll be doing

Secure High-Impact ODC Partnerships : Drive the end-to-end sales cycle — identifying, pitching, negotiating, and closing high-value ODC retail partners. This will include leading negotiations and structuring commercial agreements that create long-term, win-win business relationships.

Seamless Partner Onboarding : Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new partners, including effective integration and clear handover to the Account Management team to drive long-term success.

Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate with the Restaurant Sales team to support the signing of smaller ODC partners by resolving prospect concerns, creating compelling pitch materials and tailoring the value proposition.

Strategic Planning and Prioritisation : Own and shape the ODC acquisition funnel and hitlist through data-led analysis of demand-supply dynamics, competitive benchmarking, and evolving consumer behaviour. Work closely with Sales Representatives to deliver against defined acquisition targets.

3. Skills & Requirements

Relevant Experience : 3+ years of experience in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales—ideally within Grocery, Retail, or FMCG sectors. Experience in e-commerce, or logistics industries is a plus but not required.

Proven Sales Ability : A self-starter with a strong track record of closing deals and driving portfolio growth, particularly in fast-paced, target-driven environments.

Effective Communicator : Confident in engaging a variety of partner types—from independent retailers to regional chains—and elevating conversations with clear, compelling narratives.

Influence & Stakeholder Management : Skilled in building trust and credibility with both external partners and cross-functional internal teams (e.g. Sales, Account Management, Operations).

Commercial and Analytical Acumen : Able to interpret market dynamics, performance data and competitor trends to optimise acquisition priorities and craft commercial terms for win-win partnerships

Innovative Mindset :

Always looking for smarter, better ways to acquire and grow accounts—whether through process improvements, commercial creativity, or new partnership models.
