We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager with strong technical knowledge in hydraulic systems, cranes, and heavy-duty trucks . The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and provide technically sound solutions tailored to customer needs within the commercial vehicle and lifting equipment sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction, logistics and transportation sectors.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for crane systems, hooklifts, tipper kits, and other hydraulic equipment.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients, showcasing product capabilities and value propositions.
- Manage the entire sales cycle - from lead generation to contract negotiation and after-sales support.
Technical Expertise & Solutioning
Provide in-depth product and application consultation , including equipment selection, configuration, and integration on truck chassis.Collaborate with engineering and workshop teams to ensure feasible and cost-effective technical solutions.Stay updated on hydraulic system technologies , vehicle compliance regulations (e.g., LTA standards ), and certifications (e.g., CE, ISO ).Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with operators, government agencies, OEMs, and system integrators .Conduct regular client visits to assess satisfaction and identify upselling / cross-selling opportunities.Market Analysis & Strategy
Perform market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and refine product positioning.Provide insights into pricing strategies, promotions , and product development based on market feedback.Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering , or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or technical sales within hydraulic equipment, cranes, or heavy-duty commercial vehicles.Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, PTOs, valves, lifting equipment , and truck-mounted applications.Familiarity with brands such as Hiab, Fassi, Palfinger , or similar is a strong advantage.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Must possess a car and a valid driving license.Willing to travel locally and regionally for client meetings and trade shows .
