PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
General Ledger (GL)
Responsible and supervise full spectrum of general ledger activities of entities undesignedReview journals and book recording to ensure financial statements are accurately reportedEnsure month end close activities are duly completed on timely basisAny other ad-hoc / routing GL related activitiesAudit and Compliance
Be the key Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for audit matters relatingEnsure current processes, operations, systems, databases and information security are up to date and comply with proper accounting and legal principles / policies / proceduresLiaise with external auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities – ensure staff and information are available as requiredEnsure compliance of group reporting requirementsLeadership
Team player, able to lead a small team of 5-6 persons and drive effectiveness.Able to coach junior executives and provide relevant guidancesUpskill GL team technical skills and be a role model to the teamProject management
Significantly involved in GL Transformation Projects. Ensure completeness of project within assigned timeframe.Drive process improvements, streamlines and harmonize current processes.Improve reporting accuracy and qualityCustomer Service
Deliver service excellence and maximize customer service and satisfactionDevelop effective working relationships with key stakeholders (external / internal customers, co-workers)Maintain professional attitude during service delivery and resolution of issuesEnsure that service levels and targets are met as per Service Level AgreementsContinuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovate solutions so the team can operate in an efficient and cost effective mannerJob Requirements
At least a University degree or equivalent in a Finance & Accounting related fieldAt least 8-10 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting (GA) function and preferably with minimum 5 years of audit experiencesProficiency in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and strong in technical accounting,Experience in the shared services center of a multinational corporation is desirableProficient in Gsheet and MS Office (Word, Excel)Must have SAP knowledgeMust be a team player with a positive working attitudeAble to collaborate with different stakeholdersWork independently and meticulousSeniority level
