We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Head of Legal Practice, Singapore & Malaysia based in our Vistra, Singapore office. This is a full-time and permanent position. This role will be responsible in leading the regional Legal Practice in operational delivery, delivery of strategic execution and leading the people stream in Singapore and Malaysia.

You will be accountable for overseeing service delivery of Legal Services, optimising operational delivery, maintaining and expanding the revenue base, and driving high client satisfaction for your region.

You will support Vistra’s growth agenda by actively driving the implementation and operation of the regional Legal practice, ensuring that regional strategies align with global Legal Practice objectives while delivering commercial results and maintaining a high standard of service excellence.

Key responsibilities :

  • Accountable for operational leadership of the Singapore & Malaysia practice, overseeing delivery across all locations to ensure consistent achievement of service standards, operating budgets, quality goals and regulatory compliance
  • Delivery of operational revenue targets through net revenue retention, identification and delivery of in-flight revenue expansion opportunities and ensuring ad hoc revenues are invoiced
  • Day-to-day leadership of the Legal Practice Teams, including effective deployment of resources, capacity planning, recruitment and performance management
  • Responsible for designing and implementing the regional operational practice strategy in alignment with commercial objectives and global practice goals, ensuring the seamless integration and efficiency of the region and legacy business units as a unified legal practice.
  • Actively building, implementing and utilising performance dashboards and insights to drive effective and informed decision making
  • Drive regional participation and contribution with the Legal Practice Community where team members can thrive as part of a high performing team that sets a new benchmark
  • Transform the Practice from a set of individual country & GSC teams to an aligned ‘one global team’ in line with the target ‘ways of working’ Global Operating Platform model and process standards
  • Proactively build strong connections with GTM teams, Global Hub, and Practice leaders to optimize revenue retention and growth; ensure delivery and invoicing of ad hoc revenue; translate commercial GTM designs into practical service solutions; support market expansion strategies, and drive effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Implement and maintain the global framework, aligned with the Voice of the Customer program, to proactively identify and resolve client concerns at the regional level. Ensure that teams are equipped to manage expectations and communicate effectively with clients throughout the service delivery process and build commercial awareness and understanding among delivery teams.
  • Ensure clear communication between delivery teams and clients, manage expectations, and address issues proactively to ensure optimum client satisfaction & Net Revenue Retention
  • Foster employee engagement and a high-performing culture by inspiring and cultivating an environment that motivates people to do their best. This includes regional adaptation and active promotion of people strategies such as career pathways and performance management frameworks across the 3 key pillars of vocational skills, commercial understanding and skills and people management skills
  • Ensure regional capacity and capability is aligned with GTM commercial pipeline enabling net new revenue growth through efficient and effective delivery in line with operating leverage targets

Key requirements :

  • Graduate in law, commerce or Company governance (preferred)
  • Degree in business administration or similar discipline (preferred)
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Strong leadership competencies, able to lead, motivate, coach and generate enthusiasm and momentum in teams, as well as possessing strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross functionally with other department leaders and external bodies
  • Excellent client-facing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to plan activities, foresee needs and potential issues, and solve problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Direct experience managing operating budgets and departments in a Professional Services environment min 10 years
  • Demonstrated experience leading operational business units servicing multiple product lines and geographies in regulated environments
  • Organised, and efficient, with the ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively.
