Job descriptionNITEC / Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. Inexperienced candidates with a relevant academic background are welcome to apply; training will be provided. 1-2 years of experience as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician Basic understanding of laboratory practices, analytical techniques, and chemical safety procedures. Able to work on a 12-hour shift from 8 : 30 am to 8 : 30 pm and vice versa Familiarity with laboratory instruments (e.g., GC, HPLC, GPC, FTIR, KF Titrators, Viscometers) is an advantage Experience handling Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SSBR) operations Demonstrated interest in continuous improvement and willingness to participate in quality and safety initiatives. Variable bonus (Depending on company and individual performance, on average is 2 months) Annual Leave : 16 days Medical Leave : 14 days Shift allowance : $660 / month Medical benefits Shuttle Bus to Jurong Island (from Jurong East, there will be both morning and night shift transport all the time)
Job Description
Our Client provides high-class plastics and synthetic rubber for multiple industries, such as automotive, electronics, and more. They are looking for a Shift Quality Control Laboratory Technician in the Chemical industry.
Responsibilities 】
- Support Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SSBR) operations by performing analytical testing for product quality control, verification, audits, investigations, and troubleshooting.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as GC, HPLC, GPC, FTIR, Karl Fischer Titrators, Viscometers, and others, including calibration, troubleshooting, and training.
- Review and update Quality and Safety documentation, including Work Instructions, Risk Assessments, and relevant forms, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Perform general laboratory operations including inventory management, chemical preparation, safety and facility checks, 5S implementation, and housekeeping.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in Safety, Quality, Digitalization, and Operational Efficiency.
