We are seeking an experienced Head of Risk to lead our global Risk Management function as we expand internationally. This senior leadership role will be responsible for establishing and overseeing comprehensive risk management frameworks across all markets, ensuring sustainable growth while maintaining prudent risk standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our risk culture and strategy as we scale our innovative supply chain finance solutions globally.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Risk Leadership

Develop and execute enterprise-wide risk management strategy aligned with business objectives across multiple jurisdictions.
Establish risk appetite frameworks and tolerance levels for credit, operational, fraud, and emerging risks.
Partner with senior leadership to integrate risk considerations into strategic planning and business development initiatives.
Review and approve high value / complex credit applications and structure risk mitigation solutions.
Identify credit, performance and fraud risks in supply chain transactions with respect to both client and own exposure.
Take proactive role in deal teams developing solutions with prospective clients, serving as collaborative sounding board to identify and mitigate risks early.
Continuously analyse portfolio performance patterns and recommend actionable strategies balancing revenue and risk considerations.

Insurance

Work closely with insurers and reinsurers to structure, negotiate, and maintain trade credit insurance, surety, and other risk-transfer solutions that protect our balance sheet and enable scalable transaction volumes.

Lead due diligence processes with underwriters, provide full visibility into our portfolios, and advocate for favourable terms that support our financing models.

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing global risk management team.

Foster a strong risk culture throughout the organisation and embed risk management into daily operations.

Drive continuous improvement in risk management capabilities and professional development.

Oversee credit risk assessment and approval processes for anchor clients and SME portfolios across different markets.

Monitor portfolio performance and implement corrective actions to maintain losses within acceptable thresholds.

Skills and Qualifications

15 years of progressive risk management experience in financial services, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.

Proven track record in supply chain finance, trade finance, or related structured finance products.

Experience managing risk across multiple markets and regulatory environments.

Experience with fintech or technology-driven financial services organisations preferred.

Advanced knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.

Strong proficiency in financial analysis, credit assessment, and portfolio management.

Familiarity with emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, cloud computing) and their application in risk management.

Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities with experience managing global teams.

Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
