Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or equivalent certification preferred Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience ideally in commodity trading Strong knowledge of IFRS or local GAAP Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Excel Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Roles & Responsibilities
My client is a commodity trading firm with a global footprint, and we are seeking a skilled Accountant to join their finance team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including AP / AR, GL entries, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist with audits
- Support trade finance and settlement processes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting
