Equipment Specialist

The primary role of Production & Assembly function is to manufacture, assemble and pack products. Key deliverables include, managing the day-to-day production & planning functions for manufacturing whilst supporting changing demands. Programming, set-up, and monitoring of the production equipment / processes and performing assembly operations. Performing Quality control checks of Incoming and finished goods. Ensuring compliance to ResMed’s Quality, OH&S, GMP policies and regulatory requirements.

About the Role

At ResMed, our Production & Assembly team is the heart of delivering high-quality, innovative products to our customers. As an Equipment Specialist , you will be pivotal in ensuring that our production equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting the manufacturing, assembly, and packing processes.

Your hands-on expertise will keep our production lines operating at their best — from programming, setup, and troubleshooting to preventative maintenance and quality checks. You'll work closely with Engineering and other teams to uphold our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and perform breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and calibration on production equipment.

Set up equipment and tools to meet production demands accurately and efficiently.

Support the Engineering team with troubleshooting, validation, and technical activities.

Maintain detailed documentation and records of all maintenance work.

Adhere to all standard operating procedures, GMP, 5S, and Health & Safety guidelines.

Promote a safe workplace by actively participating in health and safety initiatives and resolving safety concerns.

Drive continuous improvement efforts by suggesting and implementing enhanced maintenance methods and schedules.

Collaborate with various departments to ensure new projects and equipment installations meet deadlines and quality standards.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support production goals.

What You Bring to the Team

Strong hands-on skills with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic devices and systems.

Ability to read and interpret electromechanical drawings with ease.

Experience in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment.

Good written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to changing environments.

Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work autonomously when needed.

Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Office and Oracle.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding production environment.

Commitment to self-manage tasks and deliver high-quality work on time.

Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Experience in the injection molding manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
