Head (Programmes and Partnerships), Youth Development

Young NTUC is the youth wing of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). Since our founding in April 2005, Young NTUC has grown to over 150,000 members aged 35 years and below. Young NTUC supports youth throughout their professional and personal journey to achieve their aspirations through a multitude of purposeful activities and opportunities. In collaboration with a vast number of partners ranging from unions to companies to government agencies, we provide career discovery and navigation, workplace protection and support, leadership development, mental well-being resources, holistic personal development, and more.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead a team in providing strategic and policy support to conceptualize and implement various programmes and initiatives aimed at elevating mindshare and increasing Young NTUC membership among youths.
  • Direct a team in identifying, cultivating, and sustaining strategic external partnerships to expand networks within the youth demographic. These partnerships will offer expertise, products, and services beneficial to youths and contribute resources to scale Young NTUC’s efforts.
  • Support the outreach and engagement team responsible for implementing programmes and initiatives in collaboration with external partners.
  • Manage day-to-day activities associated with Young NTUC initiatives, including engagement, relationship building, programme management, budgeting, and tracking and measuring outcomes.
  • Oversee additional responsibilities as assigned, particularly those related to programmes and partnerships, including internal collaborations within the NTUC ecosystem and external partnerships with government-related organizations.

Requirements :

  • Degree holder in any discipline.
  • At least 7 years of work experience.
  • Possess project and resource management skills to handle concurrent work assignments and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work on some weekday evenings and Saturdays.
  • Good understanding of the dynamics and challenges of the youth sector (specifically IHL youths and first jobbers).
