Responsibilities
- Oversee employees planning, scheduling, and deployment.
- Manage recruitment, selection, and onboarding of employees in line with company policies and industry regulations (eg. STCW, MPA, ICA).
- Responsible for payroll, welfare, and manpower issues, fostering a supportive working environment for employees.
- Supervise the execution and continuous improvement of employees procedures and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of employees certification, training, and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Liaise with external agencies for recruitment, work passes, visa applications, and levy submissions.
- Participate in regulatory audits (eg. ISM, MLC), ensuring documentation and processes are audit-ready.
- Evaluate employees performance in collaboration with department heads and recommend training or remuneration adjustments.
- Mediate and resolve employment-related issues with employees or external representatives.
- Keep abreast of evolving industry regulations, union agreements, and employment standards.
Prepare regular updates and reports for senior management.
Support ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
