SENIOR SOCIAL WORKER (Youth Services)
Job Purpose : Lead practice teams involved in casework, group work and programmes, including collaboration with partners and stakeholders. Provide practice supervision to practice staff and uplift the level of professional practice.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Case Management :
- Conduct risks and needs assessments by taking into account the integration of a range of information, which includes appropriate administration of risk and needs assessment tools and frameworks.
- Prepare, review and endorse social, triage and court reports
- Formulate casework intervention plans within the organisation for complex and high risk cases and oversee the implementation of case plans and interventions for complex and high risks cases
- Lead multi-disciplinary case conference as part of intervention process. To guide junior workers in facilitating case conferences of a similar nature.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of case management plans of junior Social Workers and provide guidance accordingly
- Use of organisational frameworks to conduct a holistic assessment
- Apply a logical thinking process of case conceptualisation and case assessment to come to a case intervention plan.
Group Work :
Deliver and supervise the facilitation of groupwork design and oversee the intervention processesEvaluate the progress and effectiveness of groupwork interventions within the organization as part of the process to ensure that our services remain relevantProfessional Practice :
Demonstrate the professional practice and role with clarity and confidence, and the ability to defend the role and practice when in conversations in key stakeholders, in accordance to the organizational vision, mission and best practice standards of the sector, which include ethical, reflexive and collaborative practice.Provide supervision to junior practitioners in demonstration of the role.Programme Design and Implementation :Lead in needs assessment, programme design and implementation of activities, inline with organisational practice and stakeholders' requirementsCoordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of programmePlan and carry out monitoring and evaluation accordinglyResearch :
Review service delivery models aligned to evidence-based practicesDesign and conduct research on practice and specified issues under guidanceCommunity Work :Lead, design, implement and evaluate new community outreach and community development initiatives by mobilising community resources, other social service providers and volunteersPractice Supervision :
Supervise junior and experienced social workers and engage in continuous personal development.Supervision must be conducted according to organizational supervision practice to ensure practice alignment and standardRequirements :
Degree in Social Work or Graduate Diploma in Social Work from NUS / Monash / UniSIM or any other recognised universityWith ISP experience is an advantageA good team player and with good written and interpersonal skillsPassion to serve and to work with youths and their familiesFor Senior positions, minimum 5 years of relevant experience with supervision experienceMust be registered with SASW Accreditation BoardQualifications
Degree in Social Work or Graduate Diploma in Social Work from a recognised university with minimum relevant experience at a Supervisory capacity
