Job description

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with a strong background and passion in software development to work in a team for ST Engineering iDirect satellite communication products.

You will be part of our Engineering team in Singapore and be based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, optimize software solutions, build, and test (including automation) high-quality, secure products, ensuring scalable and maintainable code.
  • Implement secure coding practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and apply security enhancements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through enhancements and post-release support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software reliability, scalability, and security compliance.
  • Perform peer reviews of work products and code reviews regularly.
  • Ensure comprehensive technical documentation is provided.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in C++ / Visual C++ and object-oriented programming.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development on Linux platform, familiar with debugging tools for efficient defect resolution. Understanding of Linux OS and configurations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in building, scripting, and Python for automation and system tasks.
  • Experience with version control systems, build tools, and continuous integration.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, TCP / IP, and socket programming.
  • Solid understanding of network security best practices or experience in enhancing software security is a plus.
  • Knowledge of auto testing and test-driven development with Robot Framework, Google Test, or Google Mock Test is a plus.
  • Knowledge of satellite communication protocols and IP routing is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
  • Interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with remote teams across different time zones.
