Job Summary

HipVan seeks a Data Analyst as the primary provider and central support for our data initiatives and core business metrics. This role delivers critical insights that inform strategic decisions, enhance customer experiences, and drive profitability. Collaborating closely with product management teams, the analyst will identify, implement, and evaluate data-driven growth strategies. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, customer-centric, and skilled in understanding and optimizing essential business metrics.

Job Description

  • Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to identify analytical needs, define KPIs, and translate complex requirements into practical data solutions.
  • Proactively design and develop robust data collection, integration, and analysis processes tailored to specific business use cases, ensuring data reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Create and manage real-time interactive dashboards and visualizations by consolidating data from multiple sources, providing clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Oversee analytics applications and visualization tools, optimizing their effectiveness in translating data into strategic business actions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Management, or related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, data modeling expertise, and attention to detail, focused on optimizing data processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience collaborating across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in SQL and basic programming knowledge in Python or R.

  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and maintaining reliable, secure ETL pipelines.
  • Leadership experience with mentoring or guiding team members.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and proficiency with Python or R packages for advanced analytics or machine learning.
