General Overview
The incumbent will be involved in the full spectrum of corporate treasury and finance functions including optimisation of the company's working capital and foreign exchange management, back office confirmation and settlement activities, and treasury reporting. In addition, you will be involved in planning and discussions with regulators, project viability evaluations and ad-hoc finance related projects.
Roles and Responsibilties
The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties :
- Manage and supervise key treasury activities such as cash, liquidity, foreign exchange risk. Optimize cashflow and liquidity - includes reviewing cashflow forecast, approving investment of surplus funds, evaluating opportunities for yield optimization, identifying opportunities for loan prepayments and highlighting promptly short-term borrowing needs if needed.
- Execute front office treasury transactions including FX, derivatives, and interest rate swaps (IRS) in line with the company's risk management strategy.
- Analyze foreign exchange positions, manage and ensure the fulfilment of foreign exchange requirements while managing the company's exposure to foreign exchange fluctuations. Participate in execution of hedges, where required.
- Debt and Equity Management - Lead the administration and draw down of credit facilities, loans, equity and interest expense management, loan rollover, covenant compliance, financing.
- Oversee credit risk management processes which includes periodic reviews of counterparty credit ratings, monitoring the sufficiency and validity of bank security coverage and performing credit reviews of counterparties.
- Bank account administration - Updates and maintains bank and treasury mandate, manage opening / closing of bank accounts, banking facilities set up and handling of bank compliance matters.
- Oversee the management of back office confirmation and settlement activities for Treasury transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures and assist in updating relevant finance policies and procedures when assigned.
- Prepare and present monthly report / slides for reporting of Treasury matters to the Board of Directors and / or Audit & Risk Committee.
- Performs any other Treasury related and administrative duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Work Experiences
At least 6 years of working experience in Finance / Corporate Treasury. Candidates with less experience may be considered for Assistant Manager role.Candidates from regulated industries or utility companies will be considered favorably.Microsoft excel proficiency is a must.Good understanding of Accounting knowledge and financial market products.SAP experience is a plus.Analytical, resourceful and independent.Process oriented, with a sharp eye for details.Education Requirements
Degree in relevant disciplines such as Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics from a reputable institution.
