RESPONSIBILITIES

The Country Manager will be responsible for the operational performance and Profit & Loss of Singapore Station.

The Country Manager oversees all day-to-day operations, strategy, and management, supporting the company's long- and short-term plans.

Specific duties include :

  • Developing, reviewing, and refining business strategy to maintain a leading market position.
  • Growing revenue and profit through new and existing business.
  • Managing client relationships, reviewing SOPs, understanding customer KPIs, and ensuring compliance.
  • Achieving revenue growth responsibly and profitably, including contract negotiations and sourcing competitive rates.
  • Optimizing resource utilization to meet company objectives.
  • Motivating and developing a high-performance team, including hiring and performance appraisals.
  • Hiring authority with management approval and disciplinary actions in consultation with HR.
  • Monitoring principal risks and ensuring internal controls and management information systems are effective.
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures and legal requirements.
  • Staying informed of market trends and internal / external factors affecting the company.
  • Leading by example to promote ethical conduct and compliance with laws and policies.
  • Driving continuous operational and service improvements, including safety measures and quality initiatives like 5S, Kaizen, and LEAN.

Qualifications include experience as an Operational / Sales Manager or Account Manager in international logistics or freight sectors, with proven P&L responsibility and people management skills. A recognized degree or master's in a related field is required.
