Job descriptionCommunicate and liaise with vessel owner’s / ship masters / charterers, trading team and other relevant stakeholders on voyage instructions Responsible for following up on post fixture activities Manage assigned external relations with customers and / or suppliers Support and lead process improvement initiatives as required Ensure and champion a close and harmonious working relationship with the relevant Commercial team Collaborate effectively with other Freight Platform desks 8+ years’ experience as Operator of Voyage / Time Charter dry bulk vessel, minimally 8-10 vessels at a time Significant and demonstrated customer or supplier relationship skills An interest in and aptitude for people management Knowledge of macroeconomics including trade flows Commercial Maturity / Shipping or Economic studies Fluent in English essential, with other languages an advantage Proficient in use of technology particularly Excel, Word, Shipping system (strong preference for IMOS).
We are currently working with a global commodity Trader who are looking for a Senior Vessel Operator to join their shipping team within Singapore. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a well established team with a highly dynamic work environment.
Main accountabilities :
This role requires efficient control and close liaison with other counterparties in remote locations. The key tasks assigned include :
- Operate and be responsible for the end to end management of all allocated dry vessels’
operations matter, for Dry Cargo ships
