What you will do
- The primary objective of this position is to establish and drive a strong direct sales function for Tecan’s liquid handling and detection solutions in Singapore, a market previously served exclusively through distributors. This role is responsible for building and managing a robust direct sales pipeline, while also overseeing and optimizing distributor relationships to maximize market reach and customer satisfaction.
- The role requires a proactive, entrepreneurial individual who can identify and develop new business opportunities, consult with customers to deliver tailored solutions, and provide outstanding support to both new and existing clients. The Sales Manager will also play a key role in building, supervising, and developing the sales team as it expands, providing training and coaching in project management, system design, and sales proposals, in close collaboration with management, service, and automation teams.
- It is essential that the Sales Manager has strong application expertise and can effectively communicate with clients in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Collaboration with management, service, and application team is essential to maintain and expand sales opportunities. The position serves as the primary liaison between Tecan and customers in the assigned territory, tracking orders and sales performance, and ensuring all activities comply with Tecan’s policies and standards.

Leadership :
Lead, develop, coach, and motivate additional sales team members as the team grows, to achieve high performance and professional growth.Inspire and guide the sales force by providing clear customer and business focus, go-to-market strategies, effective product positioning, bundling, and actionable planning.Take ownership of challenging customer situations and support team members in resolving complex issues.Strategy & Tactics :
Liaise with global product and business management to ensure alignment of sales strategies and tactics in Singapore with overall business objectives as set by Global LSB Management.Set, agree, and deliver on sales targets and business objectives within the assigned territory as a sales manager.Financials :
Meet or exceed order entry and sales budget targets for the respective fiscal year.Provide accurate sales forecasts as required.Proactively inform the General Manager of any events or situations that may significantly impact the achievement of agreed targets.Develop and manage sales budgeting and planning processes.Expertise :
