Job Responsibilities
- Maintain consistent competency in area of expertise
- Demonstrate professional accountability for all aspect of work within the domain
- Ensure completion of patient documentation, records and accurate statistics to reflect care provided and meet standards
- Provide clinical assessment, analysis and provision of clinical diagnosis autonomously for individual patients to determine their need for physiotherapy / occupational therapy intervention within specialist area
- Use evidence-based practice to plan, implement, evaluate, treat and progress patient care autonomously to maximize health status
- Able to manage complex and challenging cases in area of specialty
- Maintain and manage department caseload / workload effectively and efficiently
- Communicate and make recommendations to all relevant health care team members / patients / family members to maximize patient care
- Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of physiotherapy / occupational therapy service modalities
- Orientate, supervise & advise staff when appropriate when required or requested on patient care
- Work with Therapy Assistants on administrative responsibilities
- Educate Therapy Assistants on patient management, treatment procedures and use of different equipment
- Any other duties as directed by the Supervisor
Job Requirements
Degree in PhysiotherapyMust be fully registered with The Allied Health Professions CouncilResponsible for delivering high quality patient care and providing good advice on physiotherapy / occupational therapy services and / or other Allied Health servicesThank you for your interest.
