Job Summary

If you are looking for an opportunity in Technical Support, Emerson has an excellent role for you! Based in Singapore, the Technical Support Lead will lead the Technical Support team at Flow Controls Southeast Asia Service Center.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

  • Being a technical reviewer for detailing work for make products (assembled parts, new valve assemblies) as well as handling the detailing work when required.
  • Working with suppliers / factories to quote lead-time to sales team for New Assemblies valves inquiries; quote price and lead-time for special, nonstandard options.
  • Working with suppliers / factories / parts team to quote estimated price and lead-time to sales team for no stock service parts, nonstandard parts, or obsoleted parts.
  • Supporting for sourcing optimization task for Order Fulfilment team during quotation and purchasing step
  • Working with Global production engineers / AP Industry team / technical support team to ensure suitable valve construction, parts are selected and communicate to the Workshop floor
  • Being a master planner for New Assemblies products line
  • Managing inventory forecasting, handling Excess & Obsolete process
  • Handling the new products system setup and maintenance (including working with other team for system cost setup)
  • Participating in trouble shooting on valves related issues with service team and working with Product Specialists within the company to provide solutions with Valves having issues in the workshop or at site.
  • Conducting process improvement projects for improving operational performance in the value stream.
  • Ensure EHS compliance operational excellence for all the teams managed.

For This Role, You Will Need :

  • At least years of relevant operational experience (especially on control valve)
  • A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Pro-active, independent, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability and willingness to multi-task and manage priorities.
  • Matured and independent with a good sense of judgement and a sense of urgency on priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart :

  • Degree / Diploma or equivalent experience in Engineering
  • Team managerial experience preferred.
  • Strong experience with business operation system (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office will be an advantage
  • Knowledge in Quality Management System, S, Lean, and other related topics will be an advantage
