As a teacher in our school, you will go beyond traditional instruction, creating learning experiences that inspire curiosity, imagination, and courage while ensuring that students build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and global competency.

Additionally, experience in supporting multilingual learners and creating inclusive learning spaces for students who are still developing English proficiency is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music lessons that nurture creativity and musical expression, while catering to varying proficiency levels.
  • Employ differentiated instruction, scaffolding, and immersive learning strategies to support diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with homeroom and subject teachers to integrate music across the curriculum, reinforcing key concepts through interdisciplinary connections.
  • Assess students’ musical growth through formative and summative assessments; provide timely feedback and targeted interventions to strengthen skills and understanding.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and joyful classroom environment that builds students’ confidence and love for music.
  • Organize and support performances, concerts, and school-wide musical events to showcase student learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, offering constructive feedback and practical strategies to support music development at home.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on best practices, music pedagogy, and innovative teaching approaches.
  • Contribute to the broader school community by actively participating in meetings, professional learning teams, and extracurricular activities related to the arts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching music in a primary international school setting, with strong familiarity in lower primary years.
  • Solid understanding of child development, language acquisition theories, and differentiated instructional strategies.
  • Experience in international or bilingual school settings is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with international curricula such as Common Core, Cambridge, IB PYP, or AERO Standards .
  • Demonstrated ability to design creative, inquiry-based, and student-centered lessons.
  • Strong classroom management skills with a focus on creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for working effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Passion for inspiring a lifelong love of music and supporting students’ overall growth and development.
