Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Delivery
- Lead the planning and implementation of large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals.
- Oversee project execution, progress monitoring, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual, safety, and regulatory obligations.
2. Leadership & Team Management
Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Engineers, and Site teams.Foster teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within project teams.Conduct performance evaluations and support staff training and development.Mentor and groom future leaders within the Project Department.3. Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as the main point of contact with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.Build and maintain strong client relationships to support business growth and repeat contracts.Negotiate contracts, variations, and claims in collaboration with the Contracts Department.Manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction throughout project delivery.4. Quality, Safety & Compliance
Uphold and enforce the company’s Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) policies.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Drive a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management.5. Strategic & Business Contribution
Contribute to business development efforts by supporting tender submissions, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.Identify potential risks and opportunities across projects.Provide strategic input for project planning, resource management, and process improvement.Represent the company in meetings, industry events, and with authorities when required.Requirements
Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent. Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent will be an advantage.Experience : Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, including at least 5 years in a senior management or Project Director capacity. Proven track record in delivering large-scale building or infrastructure projects.Skills & Competencies : Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Excellent project management, budgeting, and planning abilities. Sound knowledge of local construction regulations, codes, and safety requirements.
