Role Overview

The Edge Contracting Services is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Network & Security Systems to join our team on a 1-year contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and support of enterprise networking and security infrastructure. This role requires expertise in managing Cisco & Arista network switches, Palo Alto firewalls, Forescout EyeInspect, and Aruba Wi-Fi solutions to ensure a secure, reliable, and high-performing IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco and Arista network switches in enterprise environments.
• Administer, optimize, and secure Palo Alto firewalls, including policies, VPNs, and threat prevention features.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor Forescout EyeInspect for network visibility, segmentation, and device security.
• Design, implement, and support enterprise Aruba Wi-Fi infrastructure, ensuring coverage, performance, and security.
• Conduct routine network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and issue resolution.
• Apply security best practices across all networking and security platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure network solutions.
• Document designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide 3rd-level technical support and lead troubleshooting efforts for escalated incidents.
• Participate in IT projects, network upgrades, and new technology implementations.

Qualifications & Skills

Strong expertise with :

Cisco & Arista network switches (configuration, VLANs, routing, redundancy, etc.)

Palo Alto firewalls (rules, NAT, VPN, security profiles, threat protection)

Forescout EyeInspect (visibility, NAC, segmentation, device compliance)

Aruba Wi-Fi solutions (deployment, access control, troubleshooting)

Preferred Certifications (a plus, not mandatory)
