Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking for a motivated Planning Engineer to lead project scheduling, planning, and monitoring, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. They focus on creating and managing schedules, allocating resources efficiently, and providing essential data for decision-making.
Role Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Create detailed project schedules using software like Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools. This involves identifying all necessary tasks, setting timelines, and establishing dependencies.
- Set major project milestones and deliverables, creating a roadmap for the entire project lifecycle.
- Identify the critical path to pinpoint tasks that directly impact the project’s timeline and prioritize them for efficient completion.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure that designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
- Evaluate technical aspects of materials for suitability and compliance with project requirements.
- Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure construction work meets established standards.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any non-compliance issues.
- Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate technical aspects of the construction process.
- Address technical queries and provide guidance to the construction team.
- Identify and address technical challenges and issues that may arise during construction.
- Propose and implement solutions to ensure project continuity.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including technical drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Prepare and review technical reports for project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards on construction sites.
- Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Role Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Building / Civil Engineering or related as recognized by PE Board.Minimum 5 years’ experience in site planning and coordination works for building projects.Minimum 3 years’ experience of using planning software (i.e. Primavera P6)Strong knowledge of Building construction sequencing, project design and planning parameters and authorities’ requirements; Competency in cross disciplinary coordination and proficiency in scheduling works.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a project team.Applicants with prior relevant experience in commercial / industrial / healthcare / institutional / government sector projects will be preferred.Based at Lorong HalusTell employers what skills you have
