Job Description

Reports to : General Manager

Oversee daily ship management operations
Ensure navigation standards are maintained onboard vessels
Implement and monitor IMS system
Ensure understanding of ISM management among Marine Safety Superintendents
Supervise Marine Superintendents / Executives on Oil Major Inspections
Report to GM on vessel operations and anomalies
Communicate with vessel owners and charterers regarding operational matters
Coordinate daily communication with vessels
Manage crew resources
Handle owner / principal inquiries and correspondence
Review vessel disbursement returns and operational billing
Conduct bi-monthly safety meetings
Prepare agendas for management reviews
Schedule Oil Major inspections
Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures
Lead investigations into accidents and implement corrective actions
Organize internal audits
Ensure vessels are equipped with updated safety equipment
Keep vessels compliant with legal requirements
Achieve set Objectives, Targets, and Programs
Handle general administrative tasks
Liaise with clients / principals
Review inspection reports
Review and discuss vessel budgets and operations
Coordinate budget proposals with departments
Meet KPI targets set during management review

Job Requirements

Minimum three years as captain on oil tankers or LPG vessels and at least five years as a marine superintendent or similar role, with experience guiding vessels through SIRE or CDI inspections.

Familiar with international and domestic maritime laws, conventions, and regulations, including ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, IGC, IBC, ISO standards, TMSA, etc.

Strong organizational and coordination skills;

Proficiency in English;

Medical and background checks are required as per company policy.

This is a senior managerial position; remuneration will be discussed mutually.
