Job Description
Responsibilities :
- Provide support for global production and corporate networks, including edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure.
- Perform day-to-day activities involving multiple vendor TOR switches (Cisco Nexus, Arista & Juniper), optical backhaul, and backbone & edge routers across global POP locations.
- Assist in resolving traffic concerns and queries raised by ISPs / Partners.
- Manage switches during incidents such as input errors, CRC, and RMAs.
- Collaborate directly with ISPs / Vendors to resolve network-related issues.
- Develop technical documentation, workflows, and root cause analyses.
- Occasional weekend work may be required.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required :
5+ years of relevant work experience.Proficiency in fiber-optic technology, including cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, and optical transport technologies.Strong knowledge of routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and security protocols such as IPSEC.Experience with Content Delivery Networks and Internet Peering strategies.Extensive hands-on troubleshooting experience in networking layers 1-3.Familiarity with Juniper systems is advantageous.Experience in multi-vendor environments with extensive CLI expertise.Proficiency in hardware swaps and specifications.Strong communication skills for collaboration with global service providers and colocation facilities.Experience in multi-vendor network environments.Network certifications such as CCNP or JNCIP and higher.Scripting proficiency with Python and Bash, with an understanding of automation and DevOps principles.
