Legal - Counsel (Direct Contract for 5 months)

Role Background

This position is responsible for the preparation, review and negotiation of a variety of information technology related agreements, including software license agreements, professional services agreements and nondisclosure agreements.

Skills & Experience

• Law Degree AND admitted or qualified to practice in a recognized bar.
• Contracts experience in the review and drafting of information technology related agreements. Familiarity with issues that arise in the negotiation of those agreements is essential. A general knowledge of the principles of intellectual property (mainly copyright) is desirable but not essential.
• Strong verbal / written communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Customer centric and focused approach in supporting both external and internal customers.
• Experience in Australia and New Zealand markets is preferred.
