Overview
- Reports to the Assistant Finance Manager
- Job Purpose :
Supports the Finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the department
Involved in work specific to receivables, payables, data compilation, or other accounting tasksWork with accruals, fixed assets accounting, or the monthly and yearly finalisation of accounts for audit purposesAssist with the preparation of trial balance, basic financial statements, and accounting schedulesInvolved in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing when necessaryDuties and Responsibilities
Record and process all business transactions in the accounting system on a timely basisRecord transactions and events relating to collections, sales, purchases, receivables, payables, and cashRecord transactions and events relating to inventory, accruals, prepayments, finance costs, and capital expenditureMaintain proper documentation of all transactionsProcess payroll transactions into the accounting systemMaintain a reasonable level of accuracy in data entries and journalingAssign account codes to transactionsPerform month-end closing activitiesMaintain accurate financial records and statementsPrepare accounting schedules and conduct monthly reconciliationsConduct simple data analysis and reviewPrepare monthly financial reportsAny other ad-hoc projectsRequirements
Education / Professional QualificationDiploma or equivalent with 3 years of relevant experienceFresh University graduates are welcome to applyPreferred Skills / ExperienceGood written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointGood interpersonal skills and a team player#J-18808-Ljbffr
