About the Job
Trelleborg Marine Systems Asia is looking for an excellent Regional Sales Manager to join the Sales team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible to develop new and existing business, secure orders and optimally carry out the marketing functions for Trelleborg Marine and Infrastructure ensuring the products meet market demands and customer requirements and is in compliance with the strategic direction of the Company.
The duties and responsibilities of the Regional Sales Manager is not limited to those listed below and are subject to change as per needs of the business.
- Liaise with the General Manager and engineering design team understand customer requirements, and to promote Trelleborg Marine Fender Systems and other associated products for Malaysia, Vietnam and Hong Kong market
- Carry out marketing programs to existing and prospective customers to advise of current and new products and services especially for the Marine fenders business in the region
- Development and Sales of engineered solutions to meet the customer & industry specific needs.
- Provision of sound technical advice on Marine Systems products to internal and external customers.
- Keep informed of product and market developments & trends.
- Ensure the safe, timely and technically acceptable provision of proposals.
- Liaise with design and manufacturing team during the supply & / or delivery of products to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure projects / orders meet both company and customer requirements and details are optimally communicated to all partners.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure timely and profitable completion of projects / orders to meet contractual requirements
- Seek continual self improvement & represent the company in a professional manner
- Assist and keep other business units of Trelleborg advised of prospective opportunities that may be relevant to them.
- Cross selling of the Trelleborg Marine related products are encouraged to promote synergy within the business
- Joint visit with sales agent to the consultants, port owners and marine contractors in specific territories.
About the Ideal Candidate
A diploma or equivalent is required in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or in a relevant technical background.Proven experience in a similar relevant role.Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written including negotiation.Strong persuasion, selling and negotiation skills.Strong lateral thinking, problem solving and sophisticated analytical thinking skills.Ability to prioritise tasks and resolve conflicts.Ability to handle a sophisticated work environment and multitask.A sound understanding of sales and marketing strategy and tactics.Knowledge of the application of technical principles and techniques in design and production.Understanding of contract formation and contract management.Good problem solving and interpersonal skills.Good time management, proactive and able to work optimally in a fast-paced environment.Ideally has knowledge and experience in the maritime, infrastructure, engineering or manufacturing environments but if no formal professional exposure, the candidate must demonstrate a keen interest in learning and acquiring the relevant industry knowledge to build compelling content.Strong project and leadership skills.Possesses high level of integrity with good work ethics.Trelleborg is an equal opportunity employer!
