passionate Math Teachers who are available to join us during the
January and April 2026
academic year. We also welcome expressions of

The
Role
The role will involve
designing and delivering a rigorous and engaging Mathematics
programme, ensuring students are well-prepared for public
examinations, including IGCSE in Mathematics and Additional
Mathematics. Additionally, the post holder will provide leadership
opportunities by developing the Mathematics curriculum and
establishing a department from its inception, ensuring a seamless
progression for students transitioning from Junior to Senior
School.
In addition to teaching
responsibilities, the successful candidate will serve as a Form
Tutor, providing pastoral care and fostering students' personal
growth. They will actively contribute to the school's
extracurricular life by leading activities that enrich the
students' educational
experience.
Key
Responsibilities : Lead
the development and delivery of the Mathematics curriculum,
aligning with the Cambridge International Curriculum and The Perse
School ethos.
Teach Mathematics across age
range from year 6 through to IGCSE, A Level / IB diploma, inspiring
curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in
students.
Prepare students for the IGCSE
Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, for first examination in
May / June 2027, delivering a rigorous two-year course.
Develop and implement lesson plans, learning materials
and assessments that cater to varying levels of language
proficiency.
Regularly provide formative and
summative assessments to monitor students' progress.
Collaborate with Junior School Mathematics teachers to
ensure curriculum continuity and progression from Year 5 to Year
7.
Provide guidance and support as a Form
Tutor, promoting the personal and social development of
students.
Build positive relationships with
parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and
addressing any concerns.
Use innovative
teaching methods and incorporate technology to enhance the learning
experience.
Foster an inclusive and
stimulating classroom environment that caters to diverse learning
needs, including EAL students.
Contribute to
the extracurricular programme by leading Mathematics-related clubs,
societies, or competitions.
Engage in
professional development and mentor colleagues to promote best
practices in Mathematics
education.

Specification : Essential
Skills and Attributes :
Strong knowledge of Mathematics and effective teaching
strategies to support learners across diverse abilities.
Experience teaching Mathematics to students in the 11-16
age range, with familiarity in preparing students for IGCSE or
equivalent examinations.
Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills, fostering strong
relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Cultural sensitivity and awareness, thriving in an
international school setting.
Strong
organisational skills and the ability to manage responsibilities
effectively in a dynamic environment.

Minimum
Qualifications : At
least two (2) years teaching experience within an international
school environment
A Bachelor's or Master's
degree in Education, along with a Professional Teaching
Qualification (e.g., PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma), or a valid
Teacher License / QTS.
Strong understanding of
the CAIE Cambridge curriculum.
Experience
working in an international school setting is preferred.
Demonstrated passion for education with the capability to
deliver inquiry-based learning
effectively.
